Why are we required to have a yearly service project?

Volunteering to help others is the lifeblood of our community. Traditionally, women have led volunteering in America. Long before there were organizations called "charities", women were often the ones who were aware of which families in the community were in need or how they could be helped. Then, through our churches, sewing circles, or on their own, women helped out however they could.

Today, women still make up the vast majority of the volunteer force, helping with everything from fundraising to working one-on-one with the needy. The MOMS Club continues in that volunteering tradition as each local group performs at least one service project benefiting children each year. There is something truly heartwarming about being able to look back at what we’ve accomplished and know that we have truly helped someone in need.
