Why meet during the day?

The first and most important thing that MOMS Club chapters do is hold their meetings during the day because that is when at-home mothers need support most. Mother’s need adult companionship during the day.

Secondly, holding nighttime activities and/or meetings disrupts family life. We want to encourage families to do things together, and planning activities during the few hours when a family is together during the week defeats that purpose.

Also, remember that although some husbands can care for the children by themselves after a long day at work, not all are willing or able to do so. If their wives are going to have to choose between going to a MOMS Club meetings, or letting their husbands relax, which do you think they would choose? A group that wants to support the at-home mother and family life should not put any mother in this position.

Lastly, the whole point of the MOMS Club is that mothers should not be isolated from the community. The decision to stay at home with our children should not keep us from having and maintaining friendships with other adults.
